What Is a Therapy Intensive?
A Therapy Intensive is an accelerated form of trauma therapy. Instead of attending therapy one hour a week, you step away from the daily grind and dedicate 1–3 days to healing deeply. It’s ideal for first responders, healthcare professionals, therapists, and women carrying too much for too long.
Think of it as a healing retreat—with clinical depth.
You’ll receive a customized treatment plan that blends:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) for trauma and stress recovery
- Somatic therapy to support nervous system regulation
- Therapeutic yoga and breathwork to release what’s stored in the body
- Reflective tools and resourcing practices to sustain your growth
Why Choose a Therapy Intensive?
Typical 50-minute sessions allow just 30–40 minutes for real work after check-ins and transitions. In contrast, a 3-hour intensive session allows for 2.5 hours of uninterrupted healing.
This is equivalent to 5+ therapy sessions in one day, without the emotional whiplash of stopping and restarting each week.

FAQs
How many days should I schedule?
This depends on your goals. Some clients reach their goals in a 1-Day Intensive. Others with more complex trauma or burnout benefit from 2 or 3 days. We’ll talk about what’s best for you in a free consult.
Can I do this if I already have a therapist?
Absolutely! Therapy Intensives work well as adjunct care. I’ll request a Release of Information so I can coordinate with your current provider.
Will my insurance help?
Therapy Intensives are not covered by insurance. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may be reimbursed for a portion. Ask your insurance company about CPT codes like 90837 or 90834 and what they allow for out-of-network reimbursement.

What is Included in the Therapy Intensive
Each intensive is fully customized and includes:
- Personalized Workbook
Assessments, intention setting, and reflective practices to prepare and track your progress before, during, and after. - Pre-Intensive Interview (90 minutes)
A virtual or in-person session to identify key focus areas and design your treatment plan. - Custom EMDR + Somatic Therapy Sessions
3-hour sessions using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Technique), somatic resourcing, therapeutic yoga, breathwork, and trauma-informed mindfulness. - Post-Intensive Integration Session (90 minutes)
Reflect on your transformation and plan next steps for sustainable healing.
